Trouble shooting Condition Possible Cause

  • Monitor brake switch signal
  1. Short to power in brake switch
  2. Open or short to ground in brake switch
  3. Defected brake switch
  4. Defected ESP (ESC)
Threshold value
  • When brake pedal pressure more than 15 bars and brake lamp switch is "OFF" for more than 3 seconds,
  • There is no brake lamp switch signal change from inactive to active during four cycles of acceleration up to a vehicle speed higher than 40 km/h (24.85 mi/h) and deceleration down to a vehicle speed lower than 3 km/h (1.86 mi/h).
  • When brake lamp switch signal is continuously active for more than 6 minutes when driving faster than 20 km/h (12.427mi/h).
