Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Inspection

Power circuit (Open or Short): Voltage Approx. 11V (refer to below waveform)
  1. Wheel Speed Sensor (Rear Right) Connector: Disconnected
  2. Ignition Switch: On
Wheel Speed Sensor Power terminal Chassis ground
Signal circuit: Voltage Approx. 0V
  1. Wheel Speed Sensor (Rear Right) Connector: Disconnected
  2. Ignition Switch: On
Wheel Speed Sensor Signal terminal Chassis ground
Signal circuit: (Short to ground): Resistance Approx. Ω
  1. Ignition Switch: Off
  2. Wheel Speed Sensor (Rear Right) Connector: Disconnected
Wheel Speed Sensor Signal terminal Chassis ground
Signal circuit: (Open): Resistance Approx. Below 1Ω
  1. Ignition Switch: Off
  2. Wheel Speed Sensor (Rear Right) Connector: Disconnected
  3. ESP (ESC) Connector: Disconnected

(Fig.1) Normal waveform at power terminal of the Wheel Speed Sensor with connector disconnected

  1. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • Go to "Next" procedure.

    NO 

    • Repair open or short in power/signal circuit between ESP (ESC) harness connector and Wheel Speed Sensor harness connector and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
