Monitor Current Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Diagnose the engine.
  3. Check if there is any DTC related to the engine RPM, inspect this first. Then, see if the DTC is cleared.
  4. If no relevant DTC exist, select the "Engine RPM" parameter on the "Current data" of the GDS.
  5. Check whether the RPM changes as changing the RPM value.

    Check If The Engine RPM Changes As The Engine Speed Does. 

  6. Is the parameter within the specification?

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • Inspect circuits and components related to the Engine RPM. Repair or replace relevant component (s) as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
