Actuation Test

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn the ignition switch ON and warm up the vehicle up to an operational temperature.
  3. Select "Intake Potentiometer" parameter on the "Current Data" of the GDS.
  4. Select "Actuation Test" for "Air Inlet Mode Selection - Regulation/Fresh" in order.
  5. During an actuation test, check whether the value of the potentiometer changes.

  6. Does the value change within specifications during actuation?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact of the component's and/or control module's connector. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair or replace relevant component (s) as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

    NO 

    • Go to next procedure.
