Actuation Test

- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn the ignition switch ON and warm up the vehicle up to an operational temperature.
- Select "Intake Potentiometer" parameter on the "Current Data" of the GDS.
- Select "Actuation Test" for "Air Inlet Mode Selection - Regulation/Fresh" in order.
- During an actuation test, check whether the value of the potentiometer changes.
Specification: About 90%, Fresh Air: About 10%.
- Does the value change within specifications during actuation?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact of the component's and/or control module's connector. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair or replace relevant component (s) as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Go to next procedure.
