Evaporator Sensor
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The Evaporator Sensor is linked to a heater unit and measures the temperature of the heater core to prevent any damage to the component caused by over-cooling. The sensor contains a thermistor that transmits the variable resistance value to the A/C module according to the temperature. Then the A/C module cuts off power supply to the compressor relay when the value from the sensor is below a specified level.
