Monitor DTC Status

- Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
- Read the "DTC State" parameter.
- Is the DTC State "Present?"
"PRESENT"
- Thoroughly check wire harness of the LKAS wire harness for poor contact, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
- Replace the LKAS with an usable one and check for proper operation. If it works properly, replace the LKAS (FRONT VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM ) and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ". If it does not work properly, replace the EPS ECU (MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING (MDPS) SYSTEM ) with an usable one and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
"HISTORY"
- Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor contact of connector or wire harness. Or, the control module's memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor contact, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair relevant component(s) as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
