Monitor DTC Status

- Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
- Read the "DTC State" parameter.
- Is the DTC State "Present?"
"PRESENT"
- Retry the regional setting process via "Optional Function".
- Replace the EPS unit assembly with an usable one and check for proper operation. If it works properly, replace the EPS Unit Assembly (MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING (MDPS) SYSTEM ). Before replacing it, conduct "ScanTool -> Optional Function -> Component replacement (ECU Replacement)".
"HISTORY"
- Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor contact of connector or wire harness. Or, the control module's memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor contact, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair relevant component(s) as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
