DTC Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The EPS ECU sets a DTC to project the ECU interior when the output value of the internal temperature sensor exceeds the predetermined level (Sensor Specifications).

CAUTION: Continuous and excessive handling of the steering wheel while driving or idling can cause heaviness when twisting the steering wheel. If this occurs, do not replace the steering column or EPS unit assembly as this is not a breakdown caused by entering the overheating protection mode.
