Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. EPS ECU switch connector: Disconnected
  2. Ignition switch: OFF
EPS ECU switch power terminal attached to signal circuit Chassis ground
  1. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • Inspect for an open/short in the EPS ECU switch signal circuit.
    • Replace the EPS ECU with an usable one and check for proper operation. If it works properly, replace the EPS ECU (MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING (MDPS) SYSTEM ).
