DTC Data Analysis

  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Start the engine and turn on the ignition switch.
  3. Turn on the ScanTool and monitor the "Main Switch" on the "Current Data".
  4. Turn the EPS ECU switch On and Off.

    Switch status:  in operation = ON -> not in operation = OFF

  5. Does the EPS ECU switch signal change normally?

    YES 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor contact of connector or wire harness. Or, the ESP ECU's memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor contact, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair relevant component(s) as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

    NO 

    • Go to next procedure.
