Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
MDPS unit connector 1 (Memory power) Chassis ground - B+
MDPS unit connector 2 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
  3. Ignition "ON".
MDPS unit connector 1 (ON/START Input) Chassis ground - B+
CAN communication circuit Inspection
Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification

  1. Ignition "ON".
HECU connector (W/O EPB) 4 (C-CAN high) Chassis ground - Fig.1
HECU connector (W/O EPB) 5 (C-CAN low) Chassis ground -
HECU connector (With EPB) 19 (C-CAN high) Chassis ground - Fig.1
HECU connector (With EPB) 20 (C-CAN low) Chassis ground -
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
HECU connector (W/O EPB) 4 (C-CAN high) MDPS unit connector 7 (C-CAN high) Approx. below 1Ω
HECU connector (With EPB) 19 (C-CAN high)
HECU connector (W/O EPB) 5 (C-CAN low) MDPS unit connector 8 (C-CAN low) Approx. below 1Ω
HECU connector (With EPB) 20 (C-CAN low)
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
MDPS unit connector 7 (C-CAN high) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
MDPS unit connector 8 (C-CAN low) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
HECU connector (W/O EPB) 4 (C-CAN high) HECU connector (W/O EPB) 5 (C-CAN low) Approx. 60Ω
HECU connector (With EPB) 19 (C-CAN high) HECU connector (With EPB) 20 (C-CAN low) Approx. 60Ω
