DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Sensor off-set error
  • Electrical noise signal
  • Abnormal off-set of pressure sensor
  • Faulty SAS
Enable Condition
  • Normal battery voltage (9 to 16V)
Threshold Value Case1
  • When steering wheel is out of the physical specific range for more than 0.6s
Case2
  • When sensor values has changed more than 40 degrees for more than 0.04s
Case3
  • In case that self-failsafe signal fault of SAS was happened for more than specific times within normal voltage condition
Detecting Time Case1
  • 0.6s
Case2
  • 0.04s
Case3
  • While driving or controlling: 0.1s
  • While idling: 0.5s
  • While initializing MDPS: 1s
Warning Lamp
  • ESC
Disable Condition Case1, 2
  • When the normal state is confirmed after the ignition switch turns off and then on (driving over 12 KPH)

  • When the normal state is confirmed after the ignition switch turns off and then on
