Circuit Inspection

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF" and disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
  2. Ignition "ON".
Brake switch connector 1 (brake test switch power) Chassis ground - Approx. 12V
Brake switch connector 4 (brake light switch power) Chassis ground - Approx. 12V
  1. Ignition "OFF" and disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
Brake switch connector 2 (brake test switch power) ECM/PCM connector 83 (brake test switch) Approx. below 1Ω
Brake switch connector 5 (brake light switch power) ECM/PCM connector 65 (brake light switch) Approx. below 1Ω
Brake switch connector 6 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "ON".
Brake switch connector 2 (brake test switch power) Chassis ground - Approx. 12V
Brake switch connector 5 (brake light switch power) Chassis ground - Approx. 0V
