DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Kia Seltos. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring fuel tank pressure surging evacuation
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty fuel filler cap
  • Leaking disconnected or plugged fuel vapor lines
  • Faulty CCV
  • Faulty PCSV
  • Faulty canister
  • Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor
Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant temperature higher than 50°C (122°F)
  • Ambient air temperature model higher than -10°C (14°F)
  • Vehicle speed lower than 12 km/h (7.5 mph)
  • Fuel level less than 85%
  • Barometric pressure higher than 75 kPa
  • Canister load less than 0.35
  • Minimum canister purge time more than 3s in case of canister load less than or equal to 0.15
  • Minimum canister purge time more than 20s in case of canister load more than or equal to 0.15
  • Engine idle
  • Pedal value less than 0.01% (pedal sensor 1 voltage 0.859V, not pushed at all)
  • Differential fuel tank pressure is greater than -1100 Pa and less than 400 Pa
  • Minimum drive time check done one time since engine start (vehicle speed higher than 24 km/h (14 mph) during 90s)
  • 320s since last EVAP monitoring test abortion
  • Modeled ambient pressure gradient during uphill driving lower than 1.08 psi (0.075bar)
  • Time elapse in case of refueling identification is greater than 600s
  • Battery voltage higher than 10V
Threshold Value
