DTC C1109-21: IG1 Open - MDPS Fail Safe: General Description

Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) is designed to operate only with the engine "ON" high motor current. MDPS operation is based on vehicle speed and engine RPM. If signal is not seen by the MDPS ECU it sets this code and turns on warning lamp if Ignition S/W turns off when engine is operating.
