Removal And Installation

CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without damaging the surface.
- Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the front door trim.
(Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR TRIM ")
- Remove the outside rear view mirror.
(Refer to Mirror - "OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ")
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front door belt outside weatherstrip (A).
- Remove the front door belt inside weatherstrip (A).
- Separate the mounting plug hole (A) from the front door module.
- By operating the power window switch, pull down until the window glass mounting bolt are visible.CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the glass surface.
- Loosen the mounting bolts, and pull out the front door window glass (A) by tilting it sideways.
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 Kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)
CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the glass and/or scratch the glass surface.Information
- Use the door switch to align the mounting bolt in the door.
- If the window motor cannot be operated, remove the motor and align the hole by hand.
- To install, reinstall in reverse order of removal procedure.
Information
- Check that glass operation is normal.
- Check the damage glass channel, and replace if necessary.
- Adjust glass if necessary.
