Removal And Installation

CAUTION: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Information 

  1. Remove the front door trim.

    (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR TRIM ")

  2. Remove the hole plug (B).
  3. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the front door outside handle cover (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf-m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.1 lb.in)

  4. Remove the front door outside handle (A) by sliding it rearward.

  5. Disconnect the front door outside handle connector (A).

  6. To install, reinstall in reverse order of removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector is connected properly.
    • Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
    • Be sure to install the outside handle pad (A) between the outside handle and the door panel.
