Component Inspection

- Check EPB Actuator
- Place the vehicle on a place at flat ground, shift the gear to the P position, turn off IG SW and engine, and install a wheel chock on the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving.
- Disconnect Rear-LH Actuator harness connector.
- Supply the battery power to the unit connectors terminal of left EPB motor for 2 seconds to see if the motor operates.
* Before conducting the "Actuation Test", install a wheel chock on the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving.
- Is the normal operation within specification?
YES
- Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet or battery performance status. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good Rear-LH Actuator and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace Rear-LH Actuator and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
