CAN Register and Communication line Inspection

C-CAN register and communication line inspection 1
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Connect EPB (& ESP) Module and Each Module connector.
3. Measure resistance between terminal C-CAN HIGH and C-CAN LOW of EPB (& ESP) Module connector.
  Specification: About 60Ω
4. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Check Each Module connectors connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  - Go to next procedure.
  NO
  - Go to Next procedure.
CAN register and communication line inspection 2
1. IG KEY OFF
2. Disconnect Cluster, Engine ECM connector.
3. Measure resistance between terminal C-CAN Low and C-CAN High of Cluster. (Component Side)
4. Measure resistance between terminal C-CAN Low and C-CAN High of Engine ECM. (Component Side)
  Specification: About 120Ω
5. Is the measured value within specification?
  YES
  - Go to next procedure.
  NO
  - If the measured value is out of specification, repair or replace 120Ω CAN register (Inside of Cluster and Engine ECM) and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Check short to battery in CAN communication line
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Connect EPB (& ESP) Module and each Module connector.
3. IG KEY ON.
4. Measure voltage between C-CAN high terminal of EPB (& ESP) Module and chassis ground.
5. Measure voltage between C-CAN low terminal of EPB (& ESP) Module and chassis ground.
  Specification: Approx. below 5V
Check short to ground in CAN communication line
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Connect EPB (& ESP) Module and each Module connector.
3. Measure resistance between C-CAN high terminal of EPB (& ESP) Module and chassis ground.
4. Measure resistance between C-CAN low terminal of EPB (& ESP) Module and chassis ground.
  Specification: Infinity Ω
5. Is the measured value within specification?
  YES
  - Check Engine ECM Module, EPB (& ESP) Module and each Module connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Check short to battery in communication line. And then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  - Check short to ground in communication line. And then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  - Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
