Monitor DTC Status

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Hyundai Sonata and 2015 Hyundai Sonata. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Vehicle Parked & Ignition ON.
  2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
  3. Click "DTC Status" on the "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" menu bar to see DTC's information.
  4. If DTC Status is present fault, then go to the next procedure and if it is History fault, then clear DTC and check the same DTC reoccurs.

  5. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?

    YES 

    • Select TCM system and Check DTCs related with TCM system or CAN Time-out. If DTC is exist, repair as necessary and then confirm clear.
    • Select Gateway (CGW) system and Check DTCs related with Gateway (CGW) system fault. If DTC is exist, repair as necessary and then confirm clear.
    • Recheck EPB system, if C1612 is still active DTC, Go to Next procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or Control module's connector or was repaired and Control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
