Monitor GDS Data

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Hyundai Sonata and 2015 Hyundai Sonata. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition ON & Vehicle "STOP".
  2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
  3. Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Apply Switch" & "Release Switch" parameter.
  4. Pull and push EPB switch once then let it be in neutral postion and check EPB switch status from sensor output.

    Specification:  When the switch is activated, the data changes to ON, OFF

  5. Is parameter within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to Next procedure.
