Component Inspection

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good PCM (ECM) and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace PCM (ECM) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • If NG, substitute with a known-good AHB ECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: * In a case of replacing AHB, operate following functions
      1. "Brake Pedal Travel Sensor Calibration" for brake pedal travel sensor offset correction (refer to C1380 ).
      2. "Pressure Sensor Calibration" for pressure sensor offset correction (refer to C1384 ).

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by faulty AHB, faulty PCM (ECM) or was repaired and AHB memory was not cleared. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
