General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  1. Faulty Brake Pedal Travel Sensor
  2. Short in Brake Pedal Travel Sensor circuit
Enable Conditions
  • A failure is detected if Vpdf < Vpdt/2 ± 0.5V or Vpdf > Vpdt/2 ± 0.5V for 2sec
  • In case of pedal sensor offset that calculated during driving is over 30% of Max stroke
  • During driving more than 40km/h (24mi/h) and stop 3 times, if Pedal is not changed, ECU detect the failure

    * PDT: Brake pedal travel sensor - PDT

    PDF: Brake pedal travel sensor - PDF

Fail Safe
  • EBD warning lamp is activated and buzzer is not activated.
  • "Check Brake!" message is displayed on LCD.
