DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Ignition efficiency check
  1. Checking operation of ETC
  2. Restriction in intake or exhaust system
  3. Faulty Spark Plug Cable & Ignition Coil
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temp. is higher than 15.8°F and lower than 90°F.
  • Vehicle speed is lower than 1.9 mph
  • 5 sec after engine start
  • Catalyst heating is operating.
Threshold value
  • Ignition angle efficiency quotient is higher than 0.15
Diagnosis Time
  • 90 sec
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
