Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check for Open in Signal Circuit

IG "OFF".
Disconnect the FTPS connectors
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between signal terminal of FTPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 5 V
Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to next step below.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure

■ Check for Short to Power in Signal Circuit

IG "OFF".
Disconnect FTPS harness connector and PCM harness connector.
IG "ON".
Measure the voltage between signal terminal of the FTPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: 0 V
Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to next step below.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure
