Determine whether the cause of leakage is Canister or CCV

- Disconnect CCV from the Canister
- Block the hole of the port on the CCV with appropriate plug
- Check for vacuum leak through the Canister line by operating vacuum pump and gauge
Specification: No Leakage
- Does a leak exist?
YES
- Visually check fine crack of the canister: Replace canister if there is crack
- Check the status of clamp & "O" ring of the coupler and hose connected to canister is torn out: Replace part if found leakage.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good CCV and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace CCV and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
