DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Stuck open
  1. Fuel filler cap damage or missing
  2. Faulty or damaged fuel filler pipe
  3. Leaking, disconnected or plugged fuel vapor lines
  4. Faulty CCV
  5. Faulty PCSV
  6. Faulty Canister
  7. Faulty Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS)
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 50°C (122°F)
  • Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) is higher than -10°C (14°F)
  • Vehicle speed is slower than 12 km/h (7.5 mph)
  • Fuel level is less than 85%
  • Time after engine starts has passed 100 second.
  • Ambient pressure is greater than 70 kPa (700 hPa)
  • Canister load is less than 0.35
  • Differential fuel tank pressure is between -1100 Pa and 400 Pa
  • Time since last EVAP monitoring test abortion is longer than 60 sec
  • Battery voltage is greater than 10 V
Threshold value
  • Leak diameter is greater than 0.8 mm (0.03 in)
Diagnosis Time
  • 30 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
