System Inspection

■ Engine Oil Inspection
- Check the engine oil level.
Specification: Oil level should be between the "L" and "F" marks on the dipstick
- Check the engine oil quality (oil deterioration, entry of water, discoloring of thinning).
- Has a problem found above procedures?
YES
- In case of abnormal engine oil level: add oil up to the "F" mark. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- In case of abnormal engine oil quality: replace the oil. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to next step below.
■ Spark Plug Inspection
- Remove cylinder's spark plugs
- Visually/physically inspect the following components:
- Damaged insulation, Worn electrodes, Oil or fuel fouled, Loose terminals and cracks.
- Check for plug gap: 0.7 ~ 0.8 mm (0.028 ~ 0.031 in.)
- Check if the spark plug for the relevant cylinder is lighter in color than the other plugs.
- Has a problem been found in any of the above areas?
YES
- Repair or replace as necessary. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to next step below.
