DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility check
  1. Open/short in signal or ground circuit
  2. Poor connection or damaged harness
  3. Faulty knock sensor
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Knock detection function active
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 65°C (149°F)
  • Mass air flow is greater than 0.5 mg/stk
  • Engine speed is higher than 2700 RPM
Threshold value
  • Knock noise signal is less than 0.195 V
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Knock detection function active
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 65°C (149°F)
  • Mass air flow is greater than 0.5 mg/stk
Threshold value
  • Absolute value of difference between Knock noise signal and its sliding average is less than 0.195 V
Diagnosis Time
  • 200 rev.

  • NO MIL
