Turbo Charger Boost Sensor (PUT) Inspection

  1. Connect GDS and select "Current Data" mode
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Monitor the parameters related to turbo charger on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS below.

    Specification:  the change of turbo charger boost pressure should parallel actual engine speed.

  4. Is parameter displayed normal?

    YES 

    • Inspect turbo charger assembly referring to service information. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good Boost Pressure Sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Boost Pressure Sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
