Component Inspection

■ Turbo Charger Boost Sensor (PUT) Inspection 

1. Connect GDS and select "Current Data" mode
2. Start the engine.
3. Monitor the parameters related to turbo charger on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS below.

   Specification:  the change of turbo charger boost pressure should parallel actual engine speed.

4. Is parameter displayed normal?

   YES 

   • Go to next step.

   NO 

   • Substitute with a known - good Boost Pressure Sensor (PUT) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Boost Pressure Sensor (PUT) and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ EWGA Inspection 

1. Monitor "Current Data" during actuating EWGA "Actuation Test".
2. Visually check the position of the EWGA during activation referring to below figures.

3. Is parameter displayed within specifications?

   YES 

   • heck for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Substitute with a known - good EWGA and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace EWGA and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
