Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check for short to Ground in signal harness

IG "OFF".
Disconnect BPS and PCM connector.
Measure the resistance between signal terminal of BPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Infinite
Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
- Go to next step below.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check for open in signal harness

IG "OFF".
Disconnect BPS and PCM connector.
Measure the resistance between signal terminal of BPS and PCM.
Specification: Approx. 0 Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
