Component Inspection

■ Fuel Pump Relay Inspection 

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Perform "Actuation Test" for Fuel Pump Relay.
  4. Does the Fuel Pump Relay work normally? (Check clicking sound)

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good PCB block (fuel pump relay) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCB block (fuel pump relay) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
