WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Vapor Line Diagram & Test Condition
    1. Disconnect Hose from PCSV goes to fuel tank
    2. Block the hole at the end of disconnected hose with a appropriate plug
    3. Remove Canister Service Hall Cover underneath rear seat or trunk luggage floor
    4. After disconnecting Vapor line coupler, install a Vacuum pump & gauge on the Hose to PCSV
    5. Check vacuum leakage through the Vapor Line with Hand Vacuum Pump operation

    6. Does a leak exist?

      YES

      NO

      • Go to "CCV & Canister Line Diagram & Test Condition" procedure below.
  2. CCV & Canister Line Diagram & Test Condition (Separated Structure of FTPS & Canister)
    1. Connect Vacuum pump & gauge to one of the disconnected vapor line hoses that goes to Canister.
    2. After disconnecting hose that attaches to the Canister and Fuel tank, block the hole up with appropriate plug
NOTE: Remove the fuel tank if plugging hose is impossible on the vehicle
    3. Close the CCV with Actuation test function on GDS.
NOTE: In case that fuel tank is removed, energize B+ and Ground for CCV closing
    4. Check leakage between CCV and Canister line with vacuum pump & gauge operation.

    5. Does a leak exist?

      YES

      • Go to Determine whether the cause of leakage is Canister or CCV

      NO

      • No needle movement for more than 1 min. If maintaining vacuum, although CCV ON/OFF test has been done for more than 3 times, Go to "Fuel tank" troubleshooting procedure.
  3. Determine whether the cause of leakage is Canister or CCV
    1. Disconnect CCV from the Canister
    2. Block the hole of the port on the CCV with appropriate plug
    3. Check for vacuum leak through the Canister line by operating vacuum pump and gauge

    4. Does a leak exist?

      YES

      • Visually check fine crack of the canister: Replace canister if there is
      • Check the status of clamp & "O" ring of the coupler and hose connected to canister is torn out: Replace part if found leakage.

      NO

      • Substitute with a known-good CCV and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace CCV and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
