Signal Circuit Inspection

Check short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect FTPS connector and ECM connector.
2. Measure the resistance between signal terminal of FTPS harness connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: Infinite
3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "Check open in harness" procedure below.
  NO
  - Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Check open in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect FTPS connector and ECM connector.
2. Measure the resistance between signal terminal of FTPS harness connector and FTPS signal terminal of ECM harness connector.
  Specification: Below 1 Ω
3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
