Signal circuit inspection

■ Check short to ground in harness
- IG "OFF" and disconnect BPS connector and ECM connector.
- Measure resistance between BPS signal terminal of BPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Infinite
- Is the measured Infinite within specification?
YES
- Go to "Check Open in signal circuit" procedure.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Check Open in signal circuit
- IG "OFF" and disconnect BPS connector and ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance between both ends of the BPS signal harness.
Specification: Approx. 0 Ω
- Is the measured Infinite within specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
