Component Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. IG "OFF". Connect a GDS and oscilloscope.
  2. Connect CH A, B probe to (+),(-) control, Boost Control Position Sensor signal terminal of EWGA connector.
  3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  4. Measure signal waveform of EWGA control together by actuating the throttle.

    Specification:  Signal waveform will be displayed as follows.

  5. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known - good ECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known - good EWGA and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace EWGA and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
