Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check short to ground in harness 

1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect Boost Control Position Sensor connector and ECM connector.
3. Measure resistance between Boost Control Position Sensor signal terminal of Boost Control Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Infinite

4. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check open in harness" as follows.

   NO 

   • Repair short to ground in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check open in harness 

1. IG "OFF" and disconnect Boost Control Position Sensor connector and ECM connector.
2. Measure resistance between Boost Control Position Sensor signal terminal of Boost Control Position Sensor harness connector and Boost Control Position Sensor signal terminal of ECM harness connector.

   Specification:  below 1 Ω.

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

   NO 

   • Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
