Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Rationality check
  1. Poor connection
  2. AATS
Case1 Enable Conditions
  • Vehicle speed is higher than 29km/h (18mph).
  • Mass of intake air flow is between 4kg/h and 220kg/h.
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 77°C (171°F).
  • Over 20 sec without fuel cut
Threshold Value
  • The difference between AATS and AATS moving mean value higher than 20 °C (68°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 9 sec
Case2 Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temperature is lower than 50°C (122°F).
  • Difference between current coolant temperature and temperature at start-up is lower than -2.3°C (27.8°F).
  • Time after engine start is shorter than 30 sec.
Threshold Value
  • The difference between AATS and AATS moving mean value higher than 20 °C (68°F) at cranking
Diagnostic Time
  • 5 sec
Mil On Condition
  • 2 Drive Cycle
