Component Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

■ Check CMPS, CKPS 

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. Select "Vehicle scopemeter" in the menu, and connect channel A of GDS with signal terminal of CKPS harness connector.
  3. Connect Channel B of GDS with power or signal terminal of CMPS harness connector.
  4. Engine start. And check the signal waveforms.

    Specification:  Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA 

  5. Is the measured signal waveforms of CKPS/CMPS normal?

    YES 

    • Go to "Check timing mark" procedure below.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good CKPS/CMPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace CKPS/CMPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check timing mark 

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. Check timing mark.
  3. Is timing mark normal?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good CKPS/CMPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace CKPS/CMPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
