Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check short to battery in harness 

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect OTS connector and PCM connector.
2. IG "ON".
3. Measure the voltage between signal terminal of OTS harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. 0 V

4. Is the voltage within the specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check open in harness" as follow.

   NO 

   • Repair short to battery in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check open in harness 

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect OTS connector and PCM connector.
2. Measure resistance between signal terminal of OTS harness connector and OTS signal terminal of PCM harness connector.

   Specification:  below 1 Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure below.

   NO 

   • Repair open in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
