Component Inspection

■ Fuel Pressure Sensor Inspection 

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. Connect probe to signal terminal of fuel pressure sensor connector.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Measure waveform of signal line of fuel pressure sensor during acceleration and deceleration.

    Specification:  Voltage of fuel pressure sensor is increased during acceleration.

  5. Is resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known - good fuel control module and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace fuel control module and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known - good fuel pressure sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace fuel pressure sensor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
