DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility Check
 1. Faulty AAT
Enable Conditions Hot
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 165°F.
  • Engine RPM is higher than 1500 RPM and lower than 4000 RPM.
  • Intake temp. change during 12 sec is lower than 34.7°F.
  • Ambient air temp. change during 12 sec is lower than 34.7° F.
  • Vehicle speed is higher than 43.5 mph and lower than 81mph.
Cold
  • Operating time after engine start is longer than 60 sec.
  • Coolant temperature is lower than 93.2°F.
  • Engine stop time is longer than 450 min.
  • Intake temp. change during 12 sec is lower than 34.7°F.
  • Ambient air temp. change during 12 sec is lower than 34.7° F.
Threshold Value
  • Diagnosis when the ambient air temp. value is higher or lower than model temperature
    • Hot condition: Difference between ambient air temp. sensor and model value is larger than 68°F.
    • Cold condition: Difference between ambient air temp. sensor and intake temp. model value is larger than 59°F.
