Control Circuit Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. IG "OFF"
  2. Disconnect HO2S connector.
  3. IG "ON".
  4. Measure voltage between control terminal of HO2S (downstream) heater harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 2~3 V

  5. Is voltage within specification?

    YES 

    • Go to "Component Inspection" procedure below.

    NO 

    • Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: HO2S must have a clean air reference to function properly. The air is obtained by way of the sensor wire(s). Do not attempt to repair the wire(s), connector, or the terminals.
