Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check for open & short in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect EPB Switch and EPB (& ESP) Module main harness connector.
3. Measure resistance between Signal (1, 2, 3, 4) terminal of EPB Switch harness connector and Signal (1, 2, 3, 4) terminal of EPB (& ESP) Module harness connector. (M1)
4. Measure resistance between Signal (1, 2, 3, 4) terminal of EPB Switch harness connector and chassis ground. (M2)

   Specification  :(M1): Below 1Ω, (M2): Infinity

5. Is the measured Value within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to Next procedure.

   NO 

   • Check for short in harness or blown fuse.
   • Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
