Signal Circuit Inspection

Connect all unit/module's connector.
IG key "ON", Engine "OFF".
Perform "Oscilloscope" procedure in the "Diagnosis" with GDS.
Measure the signal waveform between "B_CAN High" terminal of SLB ("DRIVER LUMBAR SUPPORT UNIT") harness connector and chassis ground.
Measure the signal waveform between "B_CAN LOW" terminal of "SLB" harness connector and chassis ground.

Refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM article
Does the measured signal waveform follow the reference data?
YES
- Disconnect B_CAN communication units one by one and monitor DTC to find the cause.
- If the DTC erase, substitute with a known-good unit and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the unit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Check for open, short to battery/ground in B_CAN line.
- Repair as necessary, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
