Squib Circuit Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect (-) terminal cable from battery and wait for 1 minutes or more.
  3. Disconnect Anchor Pretensioner front-Passenger and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to main harness connector.
    NOTE: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a known-good Anchor Pretensioner front-Passenger.
  4. Connect (-) terminal cable to battery and Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear DTC with scantool and diagnose again.

  6. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good Anchor Pretensioner front-Passenger assembly, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace Anchor Pretensioner front-Passenger and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
