General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Prevent control logic error caused by abnormal H-CAN Communication
  1. Poor Connector contact and quality
  2. Power line of H-CAN wiring is open/shorted
  3. Ground wiring of H-CAN is shorted
  4. The short between H-CAN LOW and CAN HIGH
  5. Input any noise to the wiring of H-CAN LOW or HIGH
  6. Faulty termination resistor
  7. The short/open between BMS and the wiring harness of HCU via H-CAN
  8. In the HPCU (MCU+HCU+LDC), HCU fault
  9. BMS ECU fault
Detecting Method
  • Satisfied with H-CAN HCU CAN Lost for more than 500 msec.
Enable Condition
  • in the IG ON status, 9V
  • Not detected for DTCs: U1001
Threshold Value
  • H-CAN HCU CAN data Lost
DTC Release Condition
  • C-CAN Recovery
Service Lamp ON Condition
  • In case of 2 time DC (Driving cycle: ST ON ~ IG OFF 2 time)
Service Lamp "OFF" Condition
  • In case of satisfying release condition
Safety Mode
  • Normal High voltage: Main relay ON
  • BMS available power: Power Directing
