General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Prevent control logic error caused by abnormal H-CAN Communication
  1. Poor Connector contact and quality
  2. Power line of H-CAN wiring is open/shorted
  3. Ground wiring of H-CAN is shorted
  4. The short between H-CAN LOW and CAN HIGH
  5. Input any noise to the wiring of H-CAN LOW or HIGH
  6. Faulty termination resistor
  7. The short/open between hybrid battery module and other controllers via H-CAN
  8. BMS ECU fault
  9. In the HPCU (MCU+HCU+LDC), HCU/MCU fault
  10. BMS ECU fault
  11. PCM (EMS ECU+TCU total) fault
Detecting Method
  • Satisfied with H-CAN Bus OFF status for more than 1sec.
Enable Condition
  • in the IG ON status, 9V
Threshold Value
  • H-CAN Bus OFF
DTC Release Condition
  • C-CAN Recovery
Service Lamp ON Condition
  • In case of 2 time DC (Driving cycle: ST ON ~ IG OFF 2 time)
Service Lamp "OFF" Condition
  • In case of satisfying release condition
Safety Mode
  • Normal High voltage: Main relay ON
  • BMS available power: Power Directing
